Registration Help

Q. I tried to logon to the MFPSP website using our team code and team password, and I get the following error: "Access denied, please try again." What's wrong?

A. To logon to the massfps.org website, you must create a student FPS account using your assigned team code.

Q. What is the difference between a team code and a student account username?

A. Your team code has one true purpose in life. It allows members of your team to create student accounts needed to access the massfps.org website. Using your team code, you may create a student FPS account here.

Q. I've forgotten or misplaced our team's internet team code and/or password. What do I do?

A. Contact us, and your internet team code will be sent to the email address submitted during your MFPSP registration process.

Q. When I try to create a student account, I receive the following message: "Error: Invalid Team Code or Team Password." What could be wrong?

A. Your team code and team password are case sensitive. Check that you are not using lowercase letters instead of uppercase, or vice-versa.

Student Account Help

Q. How do I create a FPS student account? What if I don't know my team's internet team code?

A. You can create a FPS student account by accessing this student account registration form. To create a student account, you will need your team's internet team code and password. Contact your coach if you do not possess this information.

Q. Does every member of a FPS team need to create an account?

A. Not at all. However, at least one student account must be created for your FPS team to gain access to the MFPSP website.

Q. How many student accounts can our FPS team create?

A. Up to five distinct student accounts may be created using your team's assigned internet code, one for each team member and an alternate.

Q. I know my student username and password are correct, but I still cannot logon to the massfps.org site. I'm not even getting an "Access denied, please try again" error. What could be wrong?

A. Check that you have set your web-browser to accept Cookies.

Misc. Questions

Q. I don't quite understand what a student account allows me to do. After I logon, what features are available to me as a Future Problem Solver?

A. Your student account allows you to access FPS materials on the internet. It also allows you to create one of the world's first Virtual Booklets. Your student account even allows you receive booklet evaluations online. From this point forward, you will wonder how any Future Problem Solver could live without it.

Q. I'm having trouble viewing the site. Things just look weird. Really weird. What's wrong?

A. If you are experiencing problems viewing the MFPSP website, make sure that Javascript is enabled on your browser. If you are still having problems, you may need to update your web browser. Within Windows 95/98/2000, you should use at least Netscape 4.7x or Internet Explorer 5.0 (IE 5.5 preferred). If you are a Mac user, you should use at least Netscape 4.5 or IE 5.0. Within Linux, Netscape 4.7x works well, as does KDE's Konqueror web browser. For BeOS, Opera 3.62 RC1 is required. If you've created your own Operating System, please do let us know about your preferred browser.

Q. I'm new. I'm not on a FPS team. I'm not even quite sure what Future Problem Solving is. How and where do I begin?

A. Boy, you are new. But not to worry. You are about to discover a creative and futuristic activity that may change your life in real and meaningful ways. Really. And even if a life-changing experience is not forthcoming (though we still think it is), creative students around the world agree that FPS is a fun and rewarding activity.
